Vista Introduces Latest Revision of Method 1668 to Meet Proposed EPA Methods Update Rule

EPA has proposed a new version of EPA Method 1668, Rev. C, for use in Clean Water Act programs to determine compliance with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits or other monitoring requirements. The full title of this proposed rule is "Guidelines Establishing Test Procedures for the Analysis of Pollutants under the Clean Water Act; Analysis and Sampling Procedures."

The proposal adds EPA Method 1668C to 40 CFR 136.3, Table IC.  EPA Method 1668C can measure the 209 individual PCB congeners in environmental samples by isotope dilution and internal standard HRGC/HRMS in wastewater, surface water, soil, sediment, biosolids, and tissue matrices.

With over 20 years experience in the analysis of environmental samples for PCB congeners, Vista is now offering EPA Method 1668C, "Chlorinated Biphenyl Congeners in Water, Soil, Sediment, Biosollids, and Tissue by HRGC/HRMS."  To view the method, click here.
